Video To Digital Conversions
ABOUT
We specialise in carefully digitising and enhancing your old home videos, converting formats such as VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, Hi8, Video8, MiniDV and Mini DVD into reliable, easy-to-play MP4 files for long-term preservation. These tapes often hold irreplaceable family memories, and our goal is to preserve them safely while delivering the best possible picture and sound quality for modern TVs, computers and devices.

With our updated hardware, all standard video transfers are upscaled to 1080p. Upscaling expands the original low-resolution image to fit a full HD frame, helping reduce visible pixelation and improving how your footage appears on modern screens. While upscaling can’t create detail that wasn’t originally recorded, it does optimise and clean up the image so your videos look as good as possible today. Every tape is also processed through professional Time Base Correction (TBC) equipment, which helps correct tearing, jitter, flag-waving and signal instability commonly found in ageing or degraded tapes.

When it comes to preserving your memories, not all video-to-digital services are equal. Many low-cost providers rely on basic consumer equipment and high-speed batch processing, which can result in tracking issues, washed-out colours, audio sync problems or even tape damage. Once a tape is digitised, that digital copy often becomes the version you keep forever — so a poor transfer means the original quality is lost for good. Your home videos deserve more than a quick pass through a budget machine; they deserve proper care and the right equipment.

We use a combination of professional and prosumer playback decks, high-quality capture hardware from trusted brands such as Elgato and Blackmagic, and dedicated TBC units to produce stable, accurate transfers. Each tape is handled individually rather than run through an automated system. We can also convert NTSC tapes and repair many damaged or broken tapes prior to transfer. For most families, these memories are only digitised once, so investing in a quality transfer now ensures they’re preserved the way they were meant to be seen for years to come.
